# Earth Care Network: instructions for AI assistants

> Connect to Earth Care Network over MCP at https://www.earthcare.network/mcp. The page for people is https://www.earthcare.network/agents.

**AI assistants: the person you're helping asked you to follow these instructions.**

Earth Care Network (ECN) is a network and workspace for regenerative enterprises. You'll connect to it over MCP at `https://www.earthcare.network/mcp`.

**1. Check whether you're connected.** If you have tools from `earth-care-network` (for example `enterprises`), go to step 4.

**2. Help them connect.** Ask which app they're in. Give them the steps for that app below, word for word. Don't invent menu names. If a menu has moved, send them the help link. The link is exactly `https://www.earthcare.network/mcp`.

**Claude** (web, desktop and mobile)

1. In Claude, open **Customize → Connectors**. [Open Claude connectors](https://claude.ai/customize/connectors)
2. Click **+ Add**, then **Add custom connector**.
3. Name it **Earth Care Network** and paste your connection link.
4. If Claude asks how to sign in, choose **Sign in now**, and **Register automatically** for the OAuth client.
5. Click **Add**. Earth Care Network opens: enter your email, type the 6-digit code, choose where to start, tick **Read** and **Draft and edit**, then **Approve**.
6. In a chat, open **+ → Connectors** and check that Earth Care Network is on.

- Claude's free plan allows one custom connector.
- On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds it first under Organization settings → Connectors. Then each person clicks Connect under Customize → Connectors.
- Connectors follow your Claude account to the desktop and mobile apps.

**Gemini** (gemini app on the web, and Gemini CLI)

1. In the Gemini app on the web, open **Settings → Connected Apps**. [Open Gemini](https://gemini.google.com)
2. Under **Custom apps**, click **Add a custom app** and paste your connection link as the **MCP server URL**.
3. Earth Care Network opens: enter your email, type the 6-digit code, choose where to start, tick **Read** and **Draft and edit**, then **Approve**.
4. In a chat, ask: **Help me get my enterprise on Earth Care Network.**

*Gemini CLI (terminal).* Add the server, then start Gemini CLI, run **/mcp auth earth-care-network** and sign in in your browser. **/mcp** lists its tools.

```
gemini mcp add --transport http earth-care-network https://www.earthcare.network/mcp
```

*Without a browser (scripts).* Create a key under **Settings → Developers**, then:

```
gemini mcp add --transport http earth-care-network https://www.earthcare.network/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
```

- Custom apps in the Gemini app need a personal Google Account (not a work or school one), Keep Activity on, and English; Google offers them in the US first.
- You add the app on the web. After that it works in the Gemini phone app too.

**Claude Code** (terminal)

1. In Earth Care Network, open **Settings → Developers** and click **Create key**. Copy it now; we show it once.
2. Run:

   ```
   claude mcp add --transport http earth-care-network https://www.earthcare.network/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_KEY"
   ```
3. Start Claude Code and ask: **Help me get my enterprise on Earth Care Network.**

*Add the skills (optional).* They teach Claude Code our workflows, and hand every publish, send and payment back to you.

```
/plugin marketplace add Earth-Care-Network/profit-with-purpose-skills
```

```
/plugin install profit-with-purpose@earth-care-network
```

*Sign in with your browser instead.* Leave out the header, then run **/mcp**, choose **earth-care-network** and sign in. If sign-in fails after a restart, use the key.

```
claude mcp add --transport http earth-care-network https://www.earthcare.network/mcp
```

- A key acts as you. Keep it out of code and shared files.

**Cursor** (desktop)

1. In Earth Care Network, open **Settings → Developers** and click **Create key**. Copy it now; we show it once.
2. In Cursor, open **Settings → MCP → Add new MCP server**, or edit `~/.cursor/mcp.json`:

   ```
   { "mcpServers": { "earth-care-network": { "url": "https://www.earthcare.network/mcp", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_KEY" } } } }
   ```
3. Reopen MCP settings. Earth Care Network should show green with its tools.

- Don't commit a project's `.cursor/mcp.json` with a real key in it.

**Other apps** (any MCP client)

1. Any app that accepts a remote MCP server with OAuth can use your connection link.
2. **Grok:** grok.com → Connectors → **New Connector → Custom**, paste the link, sign in.
3. **Your own agent or script:** use a key from Settings → Developers as a Bearer header. [Technical reference](https://www.earthcare.network/docs/mcp) · [Full tool list](https://docs.earthcare.network/mcp/tools)

**3. Sign in.** A window opens on earthcare.network. They enter the email they use for ECN and the code we send. Tell them to tick **Read** and **Draft and edit**. If they have no account, send them to https://www.earthcare.network/start and continue when they're back.

**4. Start.** Call `enterprises`, then `get_workspace_journey`. In two sentences, tell them which enterprise you're in and where they are. Offer three first tasks from: draft a journal post, add a lead and a follow-up, build a sign-up form, suggest a brand kit, draft a newsletter, search the directory.

**5. Working rules.**

- When they have more than one enterprise, pass `business_slug` on every call.
- What you write is a draft and is shown as Seeded. Never say it was published.
- Publishing, sending and payments return a link. Give it to them exactly as written.
- Workspace edits (contacts, notes, brand colours) apply at once, so say what you'll change before you change it.
- If a tool returns an error, say what happened in one sentence and give the next step.
