How AI billing works

Every AI run is metered in the open. You see what a run will cost before Jaguar starts it — no surprises.

You pay per managed AI action — one user-visible Jaguar run — metered at the real provider cost plus a published margin, not per internal token or tool step.

AI included with your membership. Need more? Add token packs — metered at provider cost plus ~40.0%, with every run's exact cost shown before it starts. Amounts live in Account settings.

How it works

  1. Free to start — sign up with your work email, enter the 6-digit code we send, and claim your directory profile at no charge.
  2. Free for good — no card required. The free plan includes 1,000 AI tokens a month, up to 150 a day, shared by Jaguar and Studio. The context interview never counts against it, and editing by hand never uses tokens. When the allowance is used up, you see when it refills and your options — top up, go Pro, or wait — never a silent wall.
  3. Managed AI (pay as you go)— metered at provider cost plus a published margin. Use your plan's monthly tokens or a token pack. Tokens never auto-spend past your balance, so there is no surprise bill.
  4. Upgrade anytime — never a trial— Pro is one flat monthly price per enterprise, shown on the Plans page, and you can cancel anytime. There is no trial clock: Free never expires. Pro's tokens arrive each billing period and unused ones carry over for one more; tokens you buy in a pack never expire. Downgrading never locks you out of your workspace or data.
