What it means
Your page is open data — other maps and answer engines can find you.
A directory that hides its listings from every crawler is a directory that only works when someone is already on it. Yours is structured, public and machine-readable, so an answer engine can find you the way a person can.
Whose call it is
A claimed listing can be published as a Murmurations node — a portable profile other networks can subscribe to. That is the owner's call, and nobody else's.
A seeded listing is never federated. Nobody has stood behind it yet, so it does not travel.
What stays yours
Open data is not open contact details. Privacy defaults closed and stays that way, field by field, whatever is published.
Take it down whenever you like. Ask us and the listing comes down.
